Hello everybody,
I’ve taken a tour in Cambridge International School, Festivalnaya Campus and here is what I’ve learnt about them:
LOCATION
I came to school by car and didn’t have any difficulty in finding the place. The school has a security gate, and they won’t let your car in unless they have your car information. I was let in as I provided all the necessary data the day before I came. The security guy was very friendly and smiling what is not always the case in Russia ☺ After I'd parked I came to the security place, showed my passport, they gave me a pass and explained me my way.
THE BUILDING AND THE TERRITORY
The building looks very attractive from outside – I think kids enjoy its bright colors. The territory is very cosy and has a very nice playground for younger kids and a sports ground. It also has many trees and looks very well taken care of.
CLASSROOMS
All the classrooms are very well equipped. The bright colors give them a positive look and kids look very comfortable there. Nice changing rooms, the canteen, the assembly hall – all are at the corresponding level.
TEACHERS
All the teachers speak English as it is supposed to be in an international school ☺
I’ve had a short conversation with a computer teacher as he had a break. He was very friendly and showed me the books they use in their classes for young kids and I was VERY impressed with the level. I couldn’t believe they could do it in their age ☺
When passing by some class, I heard some teacher working individually with a Russian boy of 9 or close to this age. I didn’t listen to details but I heard the boy had a great level of English and was very involved in the conversation with the teacher. I could notice a very good contact between them.
PRICES
The prices are transparent and can be found on the website of the school: http://cisrussia.com/tuition-fee/
CONCLUSION
I had a very good impression of the school. The atmosphere is nice and friendly, kids get what they need. I think this place worth parent’s consideration.
