Voluntary medical Insurance contracts and certificates
On June 1, 2016 the new requirements for Voluntary medical Insurance (VMI) contracts and certificates for foreign nationals working on the territory of Russian Federation came into force:
- The minimum insurance coverage for the validity period of the VMI contract should be 100 000 Rubles;
- The validity period of the VMI contract is to be determined by the validity period of the work permit or patent;
- The certificate should be valid in the entire territory of the federal subject of Russia where the foreigner is planning to work;
- The VMI certificate paper should contain a hologram and a watermark;
- The contract should contain information about the policy owner, the insurer and the insured person
In addition to the above, all the running VMI contracts should be brought in line with the new standards.
